Activities
- 2026 – Landscape Design Workshops | Cireneos is a non-profit civil organization founded by Father Juan Andrés "Gordo" Verde, dedicated to supporting families in vulnerable situations by promoting opportunities for development through decent housing, education, and faith
As part of Estudio Lola Capurro’s commitment to professional education and social impact, we developed a series of landscape design workshops in collaboration with fellow landscape architects who joined this initiative.
From March to May 2026, participants attended both theoretical and hands-on sessions covering a wide range of topics related to landscape design, gardening, and the maintenance of green spaces. The program aimed to provide practical skills that would strengthen participants’ abilities and create meaningful opportunities for employment.
The training program was highly successful, encouraging learning through hands-on experience, teamwork, and a direct connection with nature.
At the conclusion of the program, participants received certificates of completion recognizing a total of 22 training hours completed during March, April, and May 2026.

I would like to thank the South Carrasco Garden Club for inviting me to give this lecture to its members, an organization that I am proud to be part of.
It was a particularly meaningful occasion because it gave me the opportunity to pay tribute to the British landscape designer Nigel Dunnett, one of the most influential figures in contemporary landscape architecture. His recent passing invites us to reflect on the extraordinary legacy he left through an innovative approach to landscape, where science, ecology, and design work together.
His most iconic project, Grey to Green in Sheffield, demonstrated how urban infrastructure can be transformed into vibrant living spaces that integrate biodiversity, sustainable water management, and human well-being. His work continues to inspire landscape architects around the world and reminds us that the future of our cities depends on building a more respectful and harmonious relationship with nature.
In 2025, the Lola Capurro Studio was invited by the Asociación Rural del Uruguay as part of the judging panel for the stands at the Rural del Prado. This traditional exhibition is a space where agriculture and technology meet, showcasing in real time the future of production and our relationship with the environment.

In 2024, the Lola Capurro Studio was also invited by the Asociación Rural del Uruguay to serve as part of the judging panel for the Rural del Prado. The Rural del Prado is Uruguay’s most important agro-industrial and livestock exhibition, where producers, companies, and the general public gather each year to showcase the best of agriculture, innovation, and national culture in one place.

We recommend specialized suppliers for the execution, maintenance, and irrigation of our projects. We have built a network of nurseries that, in many cases, manage the import and production of specific plants requested for our projects.
We work with advance planning to ensure that plant species are available in the nurseries and reserved for each project.
